This time is a very special time of the year. A time of new life and new beginnings.
You peak outside and notice green everywhere, and little plants appearing out of the moist ground.
I’m reminded again of our spiritual growth.
We start out as a little seed barely noticeable. It looks like it will take forever before we really seem like were growing, then all the sudden we burst through the ground. And begin to grow and grow.
We need, like plants, nutrients to help us grow. Soil; A firm foundation in Christ. Fresh air; Fellow believers to encourage our spiritual growth. The sun; God’s grace, and mercy to shed light on us. Rain; trials and tribulations that leave us stronger. Food nutrients in leaves; God’s empowering Word to constantly feed on day by day.
God causes all things to grow
Through every season we know
He will guard the life
That He's planted in our souls
And when we feel the cold winds blow
We'll hold to what we know
God causes all things to grow
~by Steven Curtis Chapman and Steve Green~
“You heavens above, rain down my righteousness;
let the clouds shower it down.
Let the earth open wide,
let salvation spring up,
let righteousness flourish with it;
I, the LORD, have created it.
let the clouds shower it down.
Let the earth open wide,
let salvation spring up,
let righteousness flourish with it;
I, the LORD, have created it.
~Isaiah 45:8~
