Modesty Monday || Country gal... sorta

I thought I'd share one of my sista's cute outfits on this here Modesty Monday post.
She found this dress at Stuff Etc. (We have W A Y too much fun there.) #nojoke

I love how she finds such elegant pieces of clothing. She definitely knows her style!

 Beauty...
 She made these!! How cool is that?

Blue checkered shirt: Stuff Etc
White shirt: Wal-mart
Skirt: Goodwill
Shoes: Garage sale! One dollar!! #score
 I wanted her to zoom in on my shoe. This was the outcome. :D
 When I bought this skirt it had one of those ridiculous slits up the front of it #whatintheworld?
So I used my awful  wondrous sewing skills and sewed a half decent line to close it. So don't fret about those slits they're pretty easy to conquer. #ladieswecan :]

My mother actually bought me these boots. (And three other pairs) There was an older gentleman that wanted to get rid of his cowboy shoes. They were originally 1 dollar each but he lowered it down to 75 cents or something like that. I REALLY did not want them, but now I'm eternally grateful to my mom for buying these in spite of my loud protest. #momsrule (for the record... the man had small feet that's how I'm able to fit in them. :]

Have a beautiful monday!

P.S. Don't forget to leave a comment telling me about your newly found cute outfits!

Modesty Monday|| Pink floral scarf and indigo blue dress

"Your dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to show you're a lady"
::Edith Head::

Finding this dress made my day! It's super slimming aaaaand... It has pockets!! A win-win right there!
So originally it was long enough to where without leggings but I found out too late that it's a "dry clean ONLY" dress. Oh well. It needs some maintenance. The buttons are very loose. I resewed one button that had fallen off and I told myself that I really should strengthen all of them but I decided not. I regretted it Sunday when one popped off. (side note: It's one of those clothing items with big gaps between each button)  Oh man... This is a lesson to all of us... Don't procrastinate!
How embarrassing. :] Over all, the dress was a really great buy. It's one of those items you know you'll where a lot.

 ::Outfit details::

Scarf: Stuff store (I am really liking this store! Saturday they had a 50% off of everything sale. #jackpot)

Dress: Stuff Etc

Leggings: Wal-mart

Shoes: Walmart

Earrings: Stuff Etc
 Oh those pockets. #imjazzed
So the scarf isn't an infinity scarf. I just tied the two ends together and wore it like an infinity scarf. It really helps out your wallet to make your own infinity scarfs. :] #justsayin

Have any of you found any cute, stylish, and modest outfits lately?!?!? Do leave the tale's of your findings in the comment section.

Living For God Conference {and other happenings}

Early in July we were able to attend a conference called 'Living For God' Wow!! So many profound words spoken and so many deep thoughts shared. Steve Deace, Scott Brown, Kevin Swanson, and Phil Kayser were the four main speakers for the three day conference.

There wasn't a HUGE turnout but God always uses small things to bring big changes.

"History is the work of God in judgement and redemption."
::Kevin Swanson::

There was such a dynamic difference in the way each of the speakers presented their messages. From calm and gentle to #thereisnowayanyoneisgoingtosleep... Kevin Swanson was definitely the latter. :]
His messages are always so inspiring!!
Yep, he's pretty much the definition of "dynamic"

"No man can rise above his worldview."
::Steve Deace::

I have to say... I was prepared to not have a lot to glean from Steve Deace's message but... wow!! He has changed the way he delivers the truth so much in a VERY positive way!! I very much enjoyed his messages. So insightful!
"Failing to learn the lessons of grace has greatly ruined our nation."
::Phil Kayser::

This man... #somuchwisdom I enjoyed every bit of it. Even the parts that flew over my head. :]

Some of my favorite people are the ones years younger than me.
I had so much fun with this lil' boy and his sister.
Cause every post needs an awkward selfie.
This kid. #nowordsneeded
Aaaaand sometimes you really can't distinguish the ten year age difference.

Yours Truly turned another year closer to becoming a immature  mature adult.
It was such a blessing to have some of  my girls over to celebrate. We had a whole cartload of fun and I love each one of them to pieces!!
 Thank you so much ladies for a fun-filled birthday and for gracing me with your dear presence!

As I look ahead on the rest of my seventeenth year I pray fervently that Christ would use me for His glory.
There are so many things that I regret of my sixteenth year. So many things that I said and did. But with God's grace, I fervently hope and pray that this year will be a year of unmeasurable grace and exceeding mercy. I would be so humbled if you all would offer up a prayer for the direction of my seventeenth year. That God would use it fully for his glory.

It's almost intimidating thinking about all the things that I need to learn and so many character traits I need to acquire. #lifeishard But isn't God so good? Mmmm... I believe very much that He is!
