And the best part about it was.... it was FREE!
It wasn't Christmas. It wasn't Easter. It wasn't Thanksgiving. It was the day of my spiritual birthday. It was the day that my heavenly Father had ordained before His hands even reached to grasp the earth and mold it. It was the day my ears opened and I heard Him knocking at the door of my heart. It was the day my eyes opened and I saw that perfectly wonderful and amazing gift held out for me! Can you imagine that? Such a perfect, undefiled gift handed to ME, a WRETCHED, POOR, DIRTY, and IMPERFECT human!
We had just finished watching the Left Behind series.
We watched a clip from "The Way of the Master."
My sisters left the room, and my mom asked me, "What do you think when you see those videos? Does it scare you a little bit?" She told me that she thought my heart was softening a little. She left the room telling me to think about it.
I sat there on the chair for a little bit and pondered what she had said.
I thought....
If Christ were to come now, where would I go and where would the rest of my family go?
I knew the answer. I'd known the answer for a long time. Somehow, this time the answer hit home. I closed my eyes and opened my heart. That day was the day I received the most perfect, pure, and beautiful gift anyone could ever give me.
